SPECIAL DESIGN LEAF CHAIN : TB-CHAIN

For particularly high loads applications, we recommend leaf chains with special design as TB-CHAIN (patent pending) to extend chains service life.

1. STANDARD CHAIN CONSTRUCTION AND PIN OVER WEAR

1.1 DISADVANTAGE of STANDARD LEAF CHAIN

1. Pins are locked and press fit only with two outer-plates on each end according to standard chain construction. When a standard leaf chain transports a heavy load which is larger than the lock-on strength between pins and plates, pins would start to turn. And chain life would deteriorate sharply cause of holes continue enlarging by turning pins.

2. With standard leaf chain all plates are mounted with a sliding fit but only two outer-plates are press fit plates. No pre-stress strength applied on sliding inner-plates, fatigue strength will be therefore relative lower.

3. Only two side-plates are press fit and rest of side-plates are sliding fit plates, which construction distribute a load on pin unevenly. (see above pic).

 

1.1 標準Leaf Chain結構缺點:

1.    銷軸僅靠外鏈板緊配合之嵌合力固定,承受重負荷轉動時,銷軸會因扭轉力量大於嵌合力而產生轉動,進而造成外鏈板孔磨損,使鏈條的使用壽命縮短。

2.    外鏈節除外鏈板外,餘內鏈板與銷軸皆為鬆配,內鏈板無法產生預留應力,鏈條疲勞強度較低。

3.    內鏈板與銷軸為鬆配合,因鏈板與銷軸負荷承載面接觸不平均,銷軸容易磨損(如上圖)。

2. TB-CHAIN CONSTRUCTION

2.1 TB-CHAIN FEATURE

1. A tightened press fit construction increases the tensile and compressive strength between pin with center-plates, and this design distribute the load evenly on pin, greatly level down a possibility of turning pin when chain transport heavy load. Chain life is significant prolonged as press fit design minimize a wear out problem caused by turning pins.

2. TB-CHAIN pins encompass by unique bushed center plates. The bushing is carefully treaded by case hardened treatment to increase hardness on surface. The bushing provides a press fit to the center plates that improve fatigue strength about 25% than standard leaf chain.see Figure 1

3. Unique bushed center-plates construction eliminates small imperfections of plate-holes quality, while improving a wear-resisting strength about 20% than standard leaf chainsee Figure 2and providing greater reliable service life.

 

2.1 TBLeaf Chain結構特性:

1.    內鏈板緊配的結構可增強外鏈節與銷軸的嵌合力,避免銷軸因重負載而發生轉動,同時可防止外鏈板孔因銷軸異常轉動產生過度磨損,影響鏈條的使用壽命。

2.    內鏈板緊配的結構可提高疲勞強度,經測試比標準結構Leaf Chain提高約25%(如表1)。

3.    內鏈節鏈板組配之套筒,經滲碳熱處理,表面硬度較鏈板高,因此除了可以改善鏈板與銷軸負荷承載面接觸不平均的現象外,並可提高鏈條的耐磨耗性約20% (如表2),延長鏈條的使用壽命。
